Gissing Hall is a listed family mansion, dating back to the fifteenth century. Once the centre of an estate, it is now the home of its owners, Ann and William Brennan.
A working steam experience in a nationally-known garden setting with narrow-gauge railway rides, a Victorian steam roundabout, locomotive sheds, stationary engine displays, a royal coach, traction engines and gardens. There is also a 2-acre plant centre and display area. Services vary according to the steaming programme, plus the Dads Army national collection, housed in a recreation of Walmington-on-Sea. Features many vehicles used in the BBC filming of the series. Also home of the Royal Scot main line steam locomotive due to be restored to full steam.
